Here goes my very first serious post for this new blog.. What a tragic title for my first entry :(
Unfortunately, I can't think of a better topic to talk about right now but my medical condition. It's nothing serious though. However, this condition has bothered me for two straight weeks already. What is allergic rhinitis, anyway? ... ... ... To be honest, I don't really know :) But I do know that under this condition, one suffers rapid mucus production from the sinus. Because of this, the patient experiences frequent sneezing, runny nose, watery red eyes, itchy throat and ears. Well, I am currently experiencing all of the above.. Haha.. Too bad~
How about treatment? I have been reading articles from the internet, and I realized there is no existing treatment for the complete removal of allergic rhinitis which means treatments are only done to minimize the allergic attacks. The best way, they say, is by getting away from allergens. But if you do this to me, I will have nothing left around me! I feel like I am allergic to almost anything with odor - best example: perfume and baby powder :( There are other treatments preferred too. Like the immuno-shiz they are talking about in that website which I guess is VERY EXPENSIVE. Hmm.. What do I do for my case? Medication. I have been taking anti-histamines for months, but since I don't take them regularly, nothing is happening. Just this morning, I took the
Allerta medication. Damn.. It made me drowsy all day! And when I was having my haircut earlier, I noticed the darkness of the surroundings of my eyes - proof that I fought sleep all-day-long. I'll try Allerta one more time tomorrow and see if it works this way.. again..
Hmm.. Like what I said in my latest tweet, I really want to get rid of this medical condition. XD I will have it checked up soon. I just hope that my mom will approve :D
